q. how did you into photography?
a. i got into photography fairly late in life. started out as a hobby as i've always found myself interested in the technical aspect, but lacked the creative. once i started carrying my camera around everywhere i went, i began to see the world and the people around me differently. haven't put the camera down since.
q. where do you find inspiration?
a. youtube, instagram, and other websites of photographers that have been doing this for decades. some of their work is mind-blowing! that makes me want to get up and out to recreate the shot with my own touch.
q. what is your bucket shot?
a. the beacon of maracaibo! it's a terrifying place of silent lighting storms that happen 160 days a year. google it, it's insane!
q. what type of vibe do you create on set?
a. no matter how much of a professional model or photographer you are, we're humans — we get nervous when there are lights, cameras, and people surrounding us. i try to ease the nerves (for both the subject and myself) by speaking with the universal language: music! dance, have fun, and be yourself. that's what i want to capture.
q. what celebrity would you love to have a photo session with?
a. she's defiantly not a celebrity, but to me, she was my world. my grandmother who raised me. i don't have many photos of her after she passed away, but if i would love to have a day again with her traveling to her favorite shops and restaurants in paris and creating an album i would cherish for the rest of my life.
