Introduction

Deviate Boards Co., a leading longboard and skateboard retailer in Brooklyn, New York, needed striking product images for their newly redesigned e-commerce website. As an experienced product photographer, I was brought on to photograph their full lineup of longboards and skateboard decks in a studio setting to highlight the visual details of each board design.

The Challenge

Deviate Boards Co. wanted product images that would entice customers to purchase while accurately displaying the intricate artwork and materials of their handcrafted boards. My goal was to develop an efficient studio workflow to photograph their boards in multiple angles and styles. The results needed to be high-quality images optimized for web use.

The Process

I worked closely with the Deviate team to systematically photograph each longboard. Using precision studio lighting techniques, I captured detailed shots that emphasized the unique graphics, materials, and shapes of the boards. Capturing multiple angles, and backgrounds to create visual interest while maintaining consistency across the product line.

  • Color-corrected and retouched photos ready for web use

Result

My product images delivered the vibrant yet authentic visuals of the Deviate Board Co. line needed to entice customers to their new e-commerce site. The client was thrilled with the high-quality studio product photos that beautifully displayed their boards and perfectly fit the brand aesthetic online.
